Mads Favorite Youtubers
I unfortunately watch copious amounts of youtube.Tors Cabinet of Curiosities
This guy is so funky with it. Each week is a new curiosity- most are topics that are completely new to me. I legitimately enjoy the no frills nature of his show (his microphone quality only adds to his charm I think). Tor approaches the people in his videos with empathy and his own hypotheses for the more open ended topics are very interesting. I wish him well with his channel, but I also do admire the small, intimate community he's curated. Favorite: The homegrown american strain of ebola.Pilotredsun and PokeRemixStudio
I've enjoyed both of these channels for most of my YouTube watching days, but I didn't know for the longest time that these channels are both from the same creator (excellent video discussing this by Captain KRB). PokeRemixStudio is straight nostalgia injected into my bloodstream. Favorite: RSE Regi Battle Remix.Favorite Pilotredsun animation: Not so fast
Diana's Room
One of the funniest mfers on youtube. She took down many of her older vids (my guess is for voice change/identity reasons, but this isn't my business to speculate). My hope is that she reuploads them at some point since they are such gems to me. Give her Warioland video a watch for sure! And then go listen to Big Time Sexuality by Bjork.Hazel
Another reviewer I greatly admire, also funny as fuck. Her videos are rabbit holes of the most niche anime you've never heard of. I greatly admire her creative process and we share a similar fascination for the Nostalgia Critic multiverse. Her vids make me want to get into reviewing my own interests, or at least try using one of those Sony DVCAMs for video art. Her creepypasta video like… broke my brain. Favorite: A normal creepypasta retrospective. I also recommend watching her creepypasta explainer video afterwards.Captain KRB
I greatly admire youtube channels that touch on interesting/creepy topics without getting too true crimey with it. This is one of those rare channels that scratch that internet rabbithole itch while also being high quality and void of anything actually frightening. Perfect for putting on in the background while I draw. Favorite: The cryptids of wikipediaTim Rogers/Action Button
I first got hooked on the action button sauce sometime in 2020 thanks to my lovely partner. My reaction was immediately: is this guy for real? This review of Doom is three hours long and his personal anecdotes of not playing the game in college go on for an unspeakable amount of time. But I am completely hypnotized. Why is his voice so pretentiously mesmerizing? Is he doing this on purpose? During 2020 through 2021 my partner and I are fully on the Tim Rogers train. We watch all of his older vids and join his Goblin Bunker server. His boku no natsuyasumi review made me cry like a baby. At some point I would like to write about my thoughts on his discussion of memory, about my own childhood memories, and how much this vid resonated with me. Favorite: action button reviews boku no natsuyasumiDefunctland
What do I even say about Kevin Perjurer. When his vids release its like a whole event. This side channel vid about the chuck e cheese helicopter is how i feel whenever i go down a new hyperfixation. Like ohhh my god. Favorite: The helicopter thing at chuck e cheese
